AGM - AIAA NSW North Coast Branch Annual Meeting 2004
The annual meeting of the AIAA NSW North Coast Branch was held recently at Rice Restaurant in Brunswick Heads over the delicious banquet served by Hendra and Di who recently opened the Restaurant. There was a great atmosphere as we sat over minutes and details of AIAA local branch amidst lashings of rice served between several courses that just kept coming all night.
The President Robert Vanderstuken provided an Annual Report to members on activities of the local Branch including the successful purchase of a Salendro Gamelan Orchestra, now located at St Finbarr's School, Musician in Residence Projects by Efiq Zulfiqar and Wahyu Roche and fundraising activities. The report also mentioned activities of the Suara Indonesia Radio Show and the Byron Loves Bali group who held two fundarising concerts for Bali Bomb victims - including Kerensa Dewantoro's fabulous "Shakuntala" Dance Drama with Gamelan Giri Jaya. At the end of the evening the new Management Committee for the AIAA NSW North Coast Branch was elected:

Many new members joined that week and some previous members also came along to the dinner, some of whom are either working at the office of AIAA in Byron Bay, presenting Suara Indonesia Radio Show or teaching gamelan classes.eg Hefni, Chris Schliebes, Hendra, Kellie Norman, Daniel Summerfield, Gert Gast, Radha Koch, Carolina Stubbs, Carol Potter and Michael Flatt.
