Expressions of Love Between Australia and Indonesia Group Art Exhibition
Summer 2004 - 2005 ‘Sending a message of friendship through Art’
The intention of this exhibition was to explore the theme ‘Expressions of Love between Australia and Indonesia’ through the medium of visual art. Artists from both Australia and Indonesia were invited to submit artwork, Indonesian artists sent both original artwork and images. Selected artwork was hung in various places in Byron including cafes, shop walls and windows from the 16th of January 2005. The artwork was also transformed into a DVD which included artist interviews and background information, this screened as part of a mini festival programme on Saturday February 5th, at the Byron Bay Community Centre theatre and officially opened by Mr Wadhi Yudhi Education and Cultural Attache from the Embassy of the republic of Indonesia.
