Big thanks to Wyndham City Council Victoria for providing a Community Grant for AIAA project – Multikulcha Musik being held at Penrose Promenade Community Centre, Tarneit on 10, 17 and 24 August.
The project aims to break down isolation for new residents, promote multiculturalism, community members make new friends and practice English.
The program provides a range of performances from internationally acclaimed musicians along with community groups and volunteer performers.
International superstar Poly Varghese (India) is a maestro of the mohan veena and features prominently in this three week series. Other amazing performers include Micheal Cussens (First Nations), Namrock House (Solomon Islands), Trudy Faknowna-Edgely (First Nations), Ladies Club 60 (India), Salma Mumtaz (Fiji), Natty Dolaiasi (Solomon Islands), Eleni Zikos (Greece), art display by Art Conclave Judith Shelley, Deepa Chandran and Smriti Murali Krishna and much more!
This project was coordinated by Judith Shelley from Colours of the World for the Australia Indonesia Arts Alliance in cooperation with Wyndham Volunteers Assoc, Wyndham Malalayalee Assoc, Wyn FM.
